KU School of Business Wins Design Award
In a recent article by Interior Design Magazine, The KU School of Business was named #4 in Simply Amazing University Building Design. A worthy award thanks to the vision of Provost Neeli Bendepudi, formerly School of Business Dean and Gensler architects.
Capitol Federal Hall opened its doors to students during the summer 2016 semester after moving from a different building on campus. In this new structure, students, faculty, staff, and employers are meant to utilize this space in an interactive and community style.

Unique Features include:
- Business teaching assistants, “TAs” have an open-air tutoring area to allow students to meet with their TAs. TAs wear baseball caps with a sign on their cap indicating which course they assist so students can easily identify a TA for course tutoring.
- There are centers for students to receive coaching to improve their business writing skills and oral presentation styles.
- The McCarthy Applied Portfolio Management Finance Lab hosts two Bloomberg terminals and a running electronic ticker with the daily stock exchange.
- A designated area to help students get jobs. Interview rooms allow employers to come to campus to meet and interview students.
